Greg Robinson
Greg Robinson is a musician, saxophonist, and music educator from Morrow, Ohio. He has spent more than 35 years teaching music in the Little Miami Local School District.
Throughout his career, Robinson has performed professionally and developed a strong interest in jazz, blues, rock and roll, and American music history. He also founded Little Miami High School's Rock & Roll Department, where students learn to play and perform together in a rock band setting.
His interest in Earl Fuller began in 2022, when his grandson Truman discovered Fuller's grave in a cemetery in Morrow, Ohio. Curious about how a once-famous Broadway musician came to be buried in his hometown, Robinson began researching Fuller's life. What started as a simple question eventually grew into several years of research and the writing of this biography.
Using historical newspapers, photographs, archival materials, and original documents, Robinson traced Fuller's career from his early years through his success in New York City and his later life in Ohio.
Earl Fuller: The Broadway Jazz King is Robinson's first book. It brings together his interest in music and local history while telling the story of a musician whose career has largely been overlooked.
Robinson continues to teach music at Little Miami High School and lives in Morrow, Ohio, with his wife Kim.
